The owners of this stunningly located garden wanted to introduce more structure, with relaxed planting in keeping with the setting.

Designer Amanda Patton’s vision was to create an intimate and welcoming garden, while maximising the views of the surrounding countryside.

With access via a tiny country lane, we faced a real challenge clearing the site – and we had to twist a few arms to get all our suppliers to come up the hill! We also had to use our ingenuity – for example, in re-using and reconditioning  the existing topsoil for both lawns and beds, to save time and money on shipping in new soil.
